Description

This unit follows on from SPAN1405 Spanish Studies 5. Students further develop proficiency in spoken and written Spanish, deepen their understanding of Spanish-speaking societies and cultures, and attain level Level B1/B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Outcomes

Students are able to (1) read and write in Spanish with accuracy and fluency at B1/B2 Level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); (2) converse in Spanish with fluency and accuracy on contemporary themes; (3) interpret texts in Spanish and relate them to their social and historical context; (4) develop deep intercultural understanding; and (5) engage effectively in interpersonal communication..

Assessment

Indicative assessments in this unit are as follows: (1) in-class/online tests;; (2) writing exercises;; and (3) oral assessment. Further information is available in the unit outline.



Student may be offered supplementary assessment in this unit if they meet the eligibility criteria.
