- Description
This 24-point dissertation can be completed through two part-time units (12-points each), which overall represents the equivalent of one semester of full-time study. The dissertation fosters the development of research skills in the area of health professional education while under supervision. It gives students practice and experience in defining a clear research question, preparing a formal research proposal, conducting a review of a body of scientific literature (or equivalent analysis of existing data) and formal writing at a professional standard.

Students are able to (1) develop an ethically sound plan for a scholarly project addressing a leadership or management issue in health professions education and (2) conduct the planned project using appropriate and ethical methods.
