Unit Overview

Description

This unit responds to increasing demand for undergraduate-level education with a leadership/executive focus. This unit connects students directly with industry leaders and provides them with exposure to senior executives across major Western Australian organisations, enabling them to understand practical business and leadership challenges, develop critical thinking skills, and build employment readiness. Through structured executive engagements, interactive classroom discussions, and reflective learning, students gain insight into real-world leadership challenges, strategic decision-making, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility. The unit bridges academic learning with industry practice by creating a structured classroom in which undergraduate students engage with senior leaders from sectors including various industries (e.g., resources, manufacturing, consumer goods, banking, tourism and hospitality, social and public organisations). Sessions emphasise dialogue, reflection, and professional interaction rather than traditional lectures.
